Precision Shafts
Precision micro shafts, motor shafts, gear shafts and worm shafts, turned and ground to your drawing for OEM assemblies.
- Made to your drawing, sample and technical requirements
- Swiss-type turning on Citizen and Tsugami machines, plus centreless grinding
- Diameter range 0.3–25 mm and length 2–1000 mm for reference, confirmed by drawing review
- PPAP and Cpk analysis available by project

Shafts we make
We manufacture non-standard precision micro shafts to customer drawings and samples. Typical parts include:
- Precision micro shafts
- Motor shafts
- Gear shafts
- Worm shafts
- Shafts for automotive, home appliance, medical equipment, power tool and model applications
Every shaft is made to order. We do not sell standard catalogue stock.
Features to drawing
Turning and grinding cover the common features of small precision shafts:
- Grooves, chamfers, steps and drilled holes
- Milled flats
- Diamond and straight knurling
- Ground diameters
Heat treatment and surface treatment are arranged to your specification.
Motor shafts
For motor assemblies we control the key diameters and surface requirements specified on your drawing. Send the drawing together with your assembly requirements so that engineering can review them before quoting.

Materials and treatments
Steel shafts are made from wire coil or bar stock, including carbon, alloy, bearing, free-cutting and stainless steels. Aluminium 6061-T6 is also processed. Please state the grade, standard and condition on your inquiry.
Heat treatment options include oil quenching, high-frequency quenching, carburising, vacuum and mesh-belt furnace treatment. Surface treatment options include nickel plating, zinc plating, passivation, phosphating, black coating and anodising. Each option is confirmed for the specific part and material.
Quality and documentation
Parts are inspected against your drawing and inspection plan for dimensions, appearance, material, hardness, roughness and treatment requirements. Camera sorting covers 100% of the defined appearance and dimension items. PPAP and Cpk analysis can be provided by project; please list the documents you need when you ask for a quote.

- 0.3–25 mmReference range; confirmed by drawing review
- Length range
- 2–1000 mmReference range; depends on diameter and structure
- Minimum order
- 2,000 pcs per partSamples excluded

The limits are not achievable together. Feasible combinations depend on structure, material and length-to-diameter ratio and are confirmed by engineering review of your drawing.
Questions
Can I order standard shafts from this page?
No. The parts shown are examples of our custom work. We make shafts to your drawing, so please send the drawing and quantities for review and a quotation.
What should I include in my inquiry?
Your drawing, material grade, quantities per order and per year, key tolerances, surface roughness, heat and surface treatment, target date and any quality documents you require.
What if I do not have an exact drawing?
You can send existing samples for our engineers to evaluate, together with the material, quantity and application. An evaluation is not a commitment to price or manufacture.
How long do samples and production take?
For reference, samples take about 2 weeks and production about 4 weeks. The confirmed lead time depends on the drawing, material, process and scheduling and is stated on the order confirmation.
